Super Bowl People

Super Bowl Day I found myself sitting in a small hotel room with six other people in front of a small flat screen TV. This one television was supposed to be seen by each person whether they sat on one of the two beds, on the sofa bed, or on the blow-up mattress on the floor. Not your ideal viewing situation. We’re all familiar with Tom Hank’s catchphrase in the movie, Forrest Gump,Life is like a bowl of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.”

Here’s a little PERSONALity Perspective on that bowl of chocolates:        

  • Playful personality – chocolates are fun to share
  • Powerful personality – chocolates are a quick energy boost
  • Purposeful personality – chocolates are a suitable snack
  • Peaceful personality – chocolates are good soothers

Elevator People

This afternoon my husband and I stepped into an elevator in a town away from home. We were only going a few floors and then out to dinner. Normally shy and reserved, I always look forward to the few moments of silence and reflection an elevator ride provides.

Aside

One of the easiest ways to decipher your personality is to think back to the way you were as a child. Were you bossy? Bold and brave? Were you careful, quiet, concerned? Were you shy or a show-off?

I clearly remember standing with hand on hip and stomping my foot as I bossed my sister around. My powerful personality raised its head in early years. (Sorry, sis.)
